Alyssa's 12th year

For Alyssa's school this year we are focasing on many,many, MANY projects that should spark a creative nerve in her. She is making a basic prject to see if it may be something she wants to persue as a craft. She has done basketweaving, ceramics, candle macking, candlewicking, cross stiching, photography, and more. It also incorperates baking, cooking, child care, cleaning, budgiting, grocery shoping, party and trip planning and a whole host of other homemaking skills. As well as praying, journaling, LOTS of bible memerizing, tons of reading biographys and books about flowers nature exc.. She is learning about so many different things. She is Making a doll with Grandma right now witch has been her biggest challange so far. Her dear friend Emily is doing a lot of the projects with her. Here are the girls making Candels together. Charlotte loved her bath. It took place on June 3rd 2011. All her brothers and sisters were there along with Mommy and Daddy.

I know all my blog posts are out of order and this should have been posted two monthes ago but we only have one photo from the day??? Not sure what happend there. Can anyone grasp the fact that Alyssa is 12. She recived a camara for her birthday and lots of scrap book stuff, meterial, and an amazon gift card. We had a nice low key birthday party with family. It was so great to have Aunt joce and Bailey here with us for the party. The kids had a great time with gifts, cake, and the birthday blessing. I dont know where the time goes. Every time my children have a birthday I think to myself how fast things change how short this time is that I have with my little blessings and how much I desire to be the Mother that God wants me to be before they are all grown up and raising babies of there own.

City Blocks

Tommy got a huge box (3oo pieces) of City Blocks for Christmas. They look like flat piecies of wood all the same. But when you add some imagination they are SOOO fun. The boys (Daddy Too) have spent hours creating the greatiest stuff I wish I had a photo of everything but here are a few sampals.

Well some may belive that Kathryn turned ten but I sure am having a hard time with it. The time sure does fly whaile your babies grow up at a rapid rate. It seems like such a short time ago that she was the baby in the house and now look at her a buitiful sweet yung lady I cannot wait to see what this year will bring!

We had a tea party to celebrate Kats birthday I made a teapot cake we played pen the tea bag on the tea pot we had finger foods and even a pennuata. After gifts she recived a blessing from her loved ones. Happy Birthday Kat.

OK that went fast my tiny little girl is already one year old.
We had a small family party and the traditanal bay gets to destroy some cake. But Alaura didnt like the cake so much because she put her hand out at lightning speed and got hot wax on it right after I blew the candle out for her.

She loved her gifts though. I think the little pink purse was the winner. Moomy Daddy and Grandma Suzanne and Grandpa Jim bought her a realy nice car seat.

Tommy tumbling

Tommy is busy and full of life and energy so we put him in The Little Gym to learn to flip and cartwheel and skip and balance and fly around on the uneven bars. This is the end of the season and he will have the summer off so it is Show week and he was all smiles and did great he then recived a gold medal and Grandma and Grandpa Gabel took him out for dinner! Such fun times!

The Edmonds family cave adventure

Daddy decided it was time for a weekend away so off we went to The Colloso Caves in Tuscon Az. We stayed the night in a hotel and in the morning we let the kids go swimming witch even Alaura loved and then we had a wonderful time at the state park walking around the museum and touring one of the largest caves known. We ended our fun weekend with pizza at a local Mom and Pop resturant (YUMMMMMM)and drove home with tierd content little ones jammed into the eight passanger Honda we bought in January.

You use the real tools provided and you chisal out three treasure boxes to discover one with spiders one with crabs and scorpians and one with gold and jewels. Tommy let everyone try it and Kat came up with the jewel box. So much fun!!

A pregnant chiwawa showed up at Cyndis house and we took her home we looked for lost dog sighns and posed found dog adds on cregslist and with the animal shelter but it looks like she is ours. Than on Friday night five LARGE babies were born But two were VERY LARGE and got so stuck. With the first one we paniced and called our friends from church and they said PULL IT OUT but it was to late and the poor baby died but than the next three came out quick with minamal help and than number five came and she was so stuck but we got her out fairly fast, she wasent breathing and was blue but I was able to revive her and she is doing so good. They have an awsome mommy and are all thriving. Lady is soooo sweet and never gets mad when even Carolynn holds a pup!

We are trying to find something active and fun to do as a family so we thought we would try bowling. We loved it grandma and grandpa even had a blast. They have ramps and buppers so the kids can be true compitition and have so much fun. I think this is going to be something we try to do a lot. We are also going to start hiking together and we would like to walk around some of the lakes and parks.

The Kids made up plays for Easter with a program, costumes and lines. they did fantastic and it was the highlight of Easter!! They did Daniel in the lions den, Jesus feeds the multitudes, and Sham, Ham & Japheth in the fiery fernace it was spactacular!!

We had a very nice Easter Sunday this year. We had a reading from the bible from David, and the Valverdes and Mom and Dad were here. We did the traditanal spring Egg hunt and Kathryn won the $5 egg this year. We ate lazunua and had a eclare and it was so nice.

David had a Birthday last Monday so we went to the Cheescake factory to celebrate he had never been. We had a most delicious meal and some of the best cheescake on the planet. Than we had a small time of gift opening and Apple crisp. There was even a nice shirt that was saved for picked out and presented by his children all by thmselfs. Christmas at Grandpa Jim & Grandma Suzanne's

We went to Mom and Dads for a Christmas celebration. The kids got a realy awsome teeter-totter and lots of fun stuff I got a buitiful new serving platter and David got a new watch. We had Lazanua for dinner and had a very nice time. This has been a great year.

We got to go to Colorado for Christmas this year and we stayed with Jocelyn and Tyler. We got to meat Bailey and Phoenix for the first time and we ot to know Jessica Joce's good friend. We had an amazing time we went to Winter Wonder Lights, toured a Candy Factory opened preasents, preasnts and more presents, we ate and ate and ate, we got to spend time in Mike and Heathers house, Keath and Jenns house,we got to meet Davids Aunt Linda and Uncle Don. We spent late night playing games and talking and putting together a quilt for Gamma Jane. The kids even got to go snow sleading. We had a White Christmas and it was so buitiful. We got to go to Jocelyns church for a Christmas eve service. We had such a great time words cannot exspress. Our family had some very hard news recintly with the health of Gamma Jane so it was so nice to be able to come out and see that she is doing a lot better and her spirits are up. PRase God for all the wonderful gifts of Love, Family and HEaling that he gave us this Christmas.
There were so many buitiful and heartfelt gifts to bring home we had to carefuly pack our van to make room.Thank you from our hearts for such a lovely time.

The 2009 Christmas piano recital was so good. The girls played so well, it is amazing to see the growth in them. This was Gavynn's first recital and he did realy well too.

Thanksgiving

This was our year to travil for the Holidays so for Thanksgiving we loaded up the car and headed out to my sister Michele's family for Thanksgiving. We had such a nice time with great food, felowship and fun. The kids got to play outside a lot witch is such a rare thing here in Arizona. We got to talk to Chance,& Kirstyn and we got to get to know Cadince my great niece. (such a happy little girl) We also had the pleasure of bieng there for the celebration of Hailey's 13th birthday a huge mile stone in her life. We had such a nice time and we truly had so many things to be Thankful for.

She was sent a Tea set from Gamma Jane and Pappa Tom, $15 from Aunt Joce and Uncle Tylar, and a new Radieo CD player with a Betrix Pottor Book on tape from Aunt Michele and Uncle Mike

Grandma Kat and I went to eat at Maccioes and the ballon man made her a ballon and then we went to see a Christmas story. We also went to Targot and she picked out stuff for her purse and some hair things, and a pair of earings, and a walett.

Can it be true. Eleven years of marrage to the best husband on earth. We are so happy and in Love. The Lord has givin us a marrage that can will and does stand the test of time. I love my dear husband so much and thank the Lord for himand our six blessings every day.
David took us to Reds a five dimand rated reasturant were we had steak and potatoes with asparagas, and appitizer of puffed up matzarilla and peppers, and for desert !!!cream brule!!! um yum!!

Alaura even tryed the potatoes but she wasent impressed.

Blueberry pancakes with bueberry sauce

OK these were sooooo good and filling! The kids loved them and we made them sugar free!! These were the best Blueberry pancakes ever.

Sauce:
1/2 C Agave nector
2 TBS cornstarch
1 C. Water
4 C. Blueberrys (frsh or frozen)
wisk first three in a sauce pan untill well blended add Blueberrys bring to boil and boil two min. stirring constintly. Remove from heat, Put lid on to keep warm.

Pancakes:
2 C. flour (or cocnut flour for glutin free)
1/4 C. Agave
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1-1/2 C milk (or rice milk)
1 C. sour cream
1/3 C. butter melted
1 C fresh or frozen Blueberrys
Mix it up and make into pancakes (the pancakes are fragel!) But oh so yummy

Uncle Raul's work had a work picnic at Castles and Coasters. He invited our family so David and the older four of our children went with them. They had a blast and talked about it for days! Marquies didn't like the roller coasters so much and almost jumped off of the log ride but all the other children couldent get enough they loved even the up-side-down coaster and the super high free falling drop ride : ) fearless!!!

OK maybe thats a bit much but I LOVE this baby chair. We used it for Carolynn, Kya, and now Alaura. It is so fun for the baby to be able to sit up and see whats going on around her like Daddy, Alyssa and I making breakfast or even snuggly putting it in the wagan and getting pulled around (that was Cara's faveront use)If you have a baby I say get a Bumbo.

Tommy lost two wheels

I dont know if anyone reading this has ever pumpped before but if you have you know that it is not the most comfy thing in the world.

I went to the doctor on Monday and he ordered a ton of tests. One was an endoscopy witch is a tube sent down your throat and the procedure was to be done on Wednesday, that ment I had 24 hours to pump 24 hours worth of milk for Alaura because she couldent drink the milk I made for 24 hours after the test. Here is were faithful women from my dear church come in. Five nursing mommys pummped milk for my little sweetheart some could only offer an ounce some over six ounces and I was able to get six ounces but all togetther it looked like the Lord with help from these sweet ladies provided just enough milk for my child! Prase be to God! He hears our prayers and responds. I feel loved and kissed by God.

It was that time a year again were our family packed up and headed up to Prescet for our churches anuiel Family Camp. We spent the weekend with great games, fishing, fellowship, food,(that they cooked and then cleaned up) and AMAZING preashing on family, vision, and seeing christ our savior throughour the old testement as well as the new. We loved every minute of it. But since our air mattrice had a hole in it we were SOOOO happy to get back to our comfy bed.

Amoxicillin rash

Alyssa is aparently alirgic to Amoxicillin. This horrible rash appeared after we gave it to her for the first time to help fight off a horrible case of tonsilitas. We are so sad we caved and got the antibiotic we all agree the rash is worse!!

Daniel turns six!!!

David took Daniel and Tommy camping out in Pason Arizonia. They had a great time tree climbing, Fishing, knife throwing, and just hanggin out with Daddy!!

Back home we had cake and Ice cream and he opened a couple of gifts. He also got an air soft pistal but he took that camping with him.

We are sure proud of our son Daniel he is so cheerful and helpful around the house. He is doing great in school and is growing into a very fine young man.

David made the girls double over double bunk beds. We plan on staining the wood a dark purple but I thought I would put a few photos on before so you could see how nice it is. He did a great job it is sturdy and heavy. Don't they look comfy in it.
With four girls sharing one room this is a space saving must have.

Apnia moniter

These are a few photos of Alaura's Apnia Moniter. It is a couple of electrods that sit on eather side of her body one is for heart rate and the other is for breathing. When one is not detectable or to slow an alarm sounds that is loud enough to wake up the naghbors. With this on the baby we have to carry it around with us even to church or the store. It has a 24 hour battery life. but at home it needs to be plugged in. It is kinda like having an old fashon corrded phone hooked to the baby!

Hospital

We had to take Alaura to the hospital because she would cough and stop breathing and turn blue. She had to undergo so many tests while she was there that it was crazy. All the tests came back normal and she was ultimitly diagnosed with infant sleep apnia, we were able to bring her home on an apnia moniter that has gone off five times since we got home. Each time it went off it was for a dip in her heart rate and not for stopping breathing. We are so thankfull for all the prayers that we recived from our friends and family.

Uncle Kieth and Daddy grabed a frisbee and a ball and took all the children to the park for some fun. The kids had a great time playing around with the guys and I think the guys enjoyed it almost as much.

We are having a great time while uncle Keith is here. We went to the Zoo on friday and had the best time the weather was great and all the animals were out and about we went inside the new Aquerium and rode the train and everyone but mom rode the skyway ride. It wasent crowded and all the animals were enjoying the nice weather.

Triple birthday part 3 Carolynn

Carolynn turned two on May 16, Time sure does fly by. She had a great time opening up her presents and trying to blow out her candles. She had a very nice birthday blessing. She had many nice things to open, A new doll, a Mrs. Potato head, fake food, little animals, a new dress, a super cute bag with a bear inside, and money. Happy birthday sweetie.

Tommy is Four. Wow he is getting big. He had a very nice birthday he had a great time opening up his gifts, amoung his new things were Indians, flashlights, new P.J bottoms, pre-school stuff a glo-writter and money. We all ate pizza.
He had a nice birthday blessing.

Triple Birthday part 1 Ina

Great Aunt Ina turned 82 on May 2 and we had a little birthday party for her and the other May birthdays. We had pizza, ate cake and ice cream, she got a new outfit and we all prayed blessings over her. Doesnt she look nice.

Mothers Day

I had a very nice Mother's day this year. David took me out for a stake lunch on Saterday and then after church on Sunday Mom and Cyndi came over and we all had pizza and played cards. It was very nice.
Mom liked her new garden statue from us and her new solor lights from Cyndi.

Our church loves to get together for food,fellowship, and fun. Here we all are at our Summer picnic held in April so we dont melt.

Alyssa is Ten and David is thirty-one. Wow were did the time go?

Alyssa and David had a nice little party with cake and presents and friends and family. We had a lot of fun.
Alyssa also got to go to the Melting Pot resturant on Friday the seven-teenth and she LOVED that but of course we ran off without our camera :( than she stayed the night at our good friends the Dales who have lots of hourses and birds for Alyssa to be in heaven with!! She had a great time.
We had a nice birthday blessing where everyone at the party prayed blessings over Alyssa, it was very nice.

Kyah loves babies but her sweet kissis and happy hugs turned into a nice big bite on the lip to poor little Joel who at first thought everthing was great. I was taking a picture and just happened to get the BITE!
